A Romantic afternoon at Galileo Enoteca Deli and Restaurant

Definitely needed a break after the nonstop shoots and workloads, went on my phone to check romantic places that won’t break the bank. Then I saw Galileo Enoteca online and researched about them, turns out they are the best option for me.

They serve authentic Italian dishes alongside with cheeses, cold cuts, and wines for a great value.
I was so glad when I also saw them on the app “Eatigo”, they had a few percent off so I made a reservation immediately and dined on the same day.

Galileo Enoteca is a hidden gem in one of the streets in Mandaluyong. It’s a small building with few parking slots, you won’t immediately notice that it’s there. It frankly does not look elegant nor fancy from the street view and exteriors but once you enter the restaurant you’ll feel a very different atmosphere. Interiors are far from the exteriors indeed, don’t judge a book by its cover per se.

The cheese and cold-cuts displayed will be the first few things that you’ll see once you enter their restaurant, they have other for sale items inside but I was not able to ask them about it since I was focused on my hungry stomach.

We sat down near the (semi)private area of the restaurant which they had a special romantic set-up for a couple there, as far as I know they do special themed set-ups upon request depending on your event/purpose.

The restaurant was a quite dimmed inside, candles are lit per table. It was romantic.

There was also a small jar per table filled with tiny papers that has quotes and Bible verses written, you can get yourself busy with this while waiting for your orders.

Now to the food.

They give complimentary bread with balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil for the starters. It was just okay for me. The bread given to us was not the best restaurant bread I’ve ever tried but it was enough to keep you filled until your main orders arrive.

I ordered a pasta dish that is cream based with truffles. It was flavorful and the truffle flavor was indeedly strong. The way I like it. Pasta was also al dente as it should be.

Meanwhile, Le hubby got the one with pesto and pine nuts. It tasted like how a pesto should taste like on its own, although the pine nuts did wonders. It gave identity to this pesto pasta.

Each pasta dish costs around 350++ each

Got a pizza as well because pizza is life. We definitely wanted something light since we are already eating carbs on carbs. The Margherita was calling me. This pizza has Pomodoro, Mozzarella, and Basil. It was light as we expected, truly satisfying.

Pizza around Php 390-500++ per whole pizza

A chocolate cake wouldn’t hurt for dessert so we went for it. Le hubby does like their chocolate cake for it is not the sweet type of cake, it was not just the best for me since I have a sweet tooth.

Although it is not that sweet, I can still tell that it’s very delicate. Really good even without the sweetness for I was still the one who finished the cake!

Chocolate cake Php 220++

By the way, Did I mentioned that their Sangria was amazing? You sould order and try it yourself.
It goes well with anything.

Overall, the whole Galileo Enoteca Deli and Restaurant experience was great for the value.
Was a bit hard to find since it blends with the small neighborhood but it is absolutely a gem! Will definitely come back to buy cheese and cold-cuts soon.

Adios!
